I have made this statement on a number of occasions, "there is a lot going on today in our world, it would be so easy to sit down, wring our hands and think how in the world are we going to make it". However, we must never forget our God is on the throne, therefore we are victorious. When we pray, “Our Father”, we are making a statement of power. Our Father is the creator of heaven and earth. It was Isaiah who said, “Who has measured the waters in the hollow of His hand, measured heaven with a span and calculated the dust of the earth in a measure.” He further stated that He weighed the mountains in scales and the hills in a balance (Isaiah 40:12). Isn’t this great! Scriptures declare He has numbered the stars of the heaven, He calls them all by name (Psalm 147:4). The very hairs on our head are numbered (Matthew 10:30). He further said, our prayers are bottled up in glory, praise His holy name. He loves us with an unending love (Rom. 5:5). There is no way our small minds can comprehend the love, mercy, and power of God; what an awesome God we serve! Jesus Christ preached a gospel of power, casting out evil spirits, healing the sick, raising the dead, saving the sinner and I’m glad to declare to all of us that He is the same today. (Luke 4:36; Heb. 13:8) He has poured out His Holy Ghost power on the church that we might share His love and power to a lost world. I want to be an extension of His, to be used for the glory of God. “Our Father”, My Father, He can be Your Father if He is not. I say Wow! Because of Calvary, Pastor Durden
