In that day you will no longer ask me anything. I tell you the truth, my Father will give you whatever you ask in my name. Until now you have not asked for anything in my name. Ask and you will receive, and your joy will be complete. John 16:23,24 Anytime faith is mentioned in the scripture, always and without exception its root meaning is that its object is Christ and the cross; otherwise, it is faith God will not accept. Hebrews 11:6 says "And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him." We must pray in the name of Jesus, why? Because the only access you and me gain into heaven is through the name of Jesus. John 14:14 says "If you ask anything in My name, I will do it". We don't gain access through the preacher, the church, somebody's committee, Mary's name, Buddha, or Allah, but by the name that's above every name, the sweet name of Jesus. Acts 4:12 says "Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved." As I sit at my desk and pen this message I sense the good Holy Ghost. The devil trembles at the name of Jesus. Praise God that Jesus is my Lord. There have been those times in my life I didn't know what to say or do; I just begin to say the name of Jesus, Jesus, Jesus, what a name. If He's not your Lord and Savior today, He wants to be.
