Oh! The peace of God, how in the world do people survive without God's peace. I love what Jesus said in John 14:27, peace I leave with you my peace I give unto you not as the world giveth, give I unto you, let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid. In Epesians 6:14,15 Paul talks about having our feet shod with the gospel of peace. Protective shoes allowed soldiers to go on long journeys over difficult ground to be able to overcome during the days of battle. For believers today, "being prepared with the gospel of peace, means to hold onto the gospel no matter what the enemy of our soul throws at us," The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly. (John 10:10) You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world. (1 John 4:4). Please remember our strength flows from our relationship with Jesus Christ. Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ (Romans 5:1-2). Note these scriptures as it relates to how peace can work in and through us. Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; 7 and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. (Philipians. 4:6-7). If it is possible, as much as depends on you, live peaceably with all men. (Romans. 12:18). We cannot fight God, ourselves, or others and have God's peace working in our lives, we must let His peace work in us to be ready for our enemy Satan. When God's peace is at work in our lives we can give an answer to this world concerning the hope we have as Christians. Praise God we have the gospel of peace in our hearts.
