My Utmost for His Highest. "Lord, I will follow Thee; but . . ." Luke 9:61 Supposing God tells you to do something which is an enormous test to your common sense, what are you going to do? Hang back? If you get into the habit of doing a thing in the physical domain, you will do it every time until you break the habit determinedly; and the same is true spiritually. Read More...

The Answer For Evil. The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. Corrupt are they, and have done abominable iniquity: there is none that doeth good. (Psalm 53:1)

How it was that 60 million perished following the Bolshevik revolution? 'Men have forgotten God' - that's why all this happened. All attempts to find a way out of the plight of today's world are fruitless unless we redirect our consciousness, in repentance, to the Creator of all: Without this, no exit will be illumined, and we shall seek it in vain." - Alexander Solzhenitsyn

Associate Pastor Wayne DurdenThe entrance of Your words gives light; It gives understanding to the simple (Psalm 119:130). Have mercy upon me, O God, According to Your lovingkindness;  According to the multitude of Your tender mercies,  Blot out my transgressions. Wash me thoroughly from my iniquity,  And cleanse me from my sin.  For I acknowledge my transgressions, And my sin is always before me (Psalm 51:1-3).

We will share a few more thoughts with you this week and next on the Laver, interesting isn’t it? Then we’ll talk some more about the tabernacle.

I love those three verses in (Ps. 51:1-3), praise God for His forgiveness. We are all familiar with a looking glass, the bronze laver was God’s looking glass, which was made from the bronze mirrors of the Israelite women, note: (Exodus 38:8), it was the bowl which was very sacred that was used in the tabernacle for cleansing purposes, note: (Exodus 30:20). It went like this, when you came forward to wash yourself in preparation to make a sacrifice for your sins, you would look into the laver and see yourself, God help us to see ourselves, outside of God we’re defeated, but with Christ we’re victorious.

It could be said like this, as we look into our mirrors, ladies to brush your hair, men to shave, who do we see, ourselves, the mirrors of God’s holy word will expose the truth about our lives, look at (James 1:22-25).

When we read God’s word we’re looking at a Holy Ghost anointed mirror that will reflect our sins and the area of our lives we need fixed, I am very convinced that’s why some folks want study God’s word as they should. It’s impossible to be clean until we go to Calvary where God’s healing flow begins, have you been to Calvary, are you washed in the blood of the lamb? One day each of us will stand before the ultimate mirror, Jesus Christ, and on this day it will be revealed what we really look like. Let’s look into God’s mirror now, the bible records that today is the day of salvation. No more bronze laver, but the cross of Jesus Christ, He was virgin born, crucified, buried, arose, and ascended to the father’s right hand for you and me, Praise God!

Love each of You, Pastor Durden
