To See or Not To See
My face in the mirror isn’t wrinkled or drawn; My house isn’t dirty the cobwebs are gone. My garden looks lovely and so does my lawn; I think I might never put my glasses back on!
Side Pain
At Sunday school they were teaching how God created everything, including human beings. Little Johnny seemed especially intent when they told him how Eve was created out of one of Adam's ribs.
Later in the week his mother noticed him lying down as though he were ill, and said, Johnny what is the matter? Little Johnny responded, "I have a pain in my side. I think I'm going to have a wife."
We Must Not Come Against Those In Spiritual Authority

Then Miriam and Aaron spoke against Moses because of the Ethiopian woman whom he had married; for he had married an Ethiopian woman. So they said, “Has the LORD indeed spoken only through Moses? Has He not spoken through us also?” And the LORD heard it (Numbers 12:1-2).
For the last several weeks, and for several more to follow, we have been zeroing in on spiritual authority. This is a very thought provoking subject. As we begin our thought for this week I want to say "God does speak to His people". However we must be very careful when we say, "God told me". As we move forward with this message you'll understand what I'm saying.
We have either heard this or saw it first hand, for various reasons since the church was birthed there are those who come along and just want their way about how the church is run. When this doesn't happen they often rebel. Some use this statement very loosely, "God told me", or they find fault with their pastor or the one over them in the Lord. There are scriptural examples of this. For example look what Miriam did with Moses. Miriam got mad because Moses married the Ethiopian lady. Instead of telling him she was mad, she smarted off and said to him, are you the only one God speaks too, she was using a spiritual smoke screen.
All of this angered God and His judgment fell on her, please read (Num. 12:10). It is a very dangerous thing to play around with God. He is a loving, caring, compassionate God, but please never forget, He's also a God of justice. Note what Miriam did after she became leprous. She ran to Moses for help, but God spoke to Moses and said "don't touch her, leave her alone for right now" (Numbers 12:14-15). But you will discover in God's word that Moses prayed for her and she was eventually restored. Israel got the point, do we get the point, God doesn't play, He is serious.
