2 Chronicles 7:14 If my people, which are called by my name, shall humblethemselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.
A biblical worldview is based on the infallible Word of God. When you believe the Bible is entirely true, then you allow it to be the foundation of everything you say and do. That means, for instance, you take seriously the mandate in Romans 13 to honor the governing authorities by researching the candidates and issues, making voting a priority.
Do you have a biblical worldview? Answer the following questions, based on claims found in the Bible and which George Barna used in his survey:
Do absolute moral truths exist?
Is absolute truth defined by the Bible?
Did Jesus Christ live a sinless life?
Is God the all-powerful and all-knowing Creator of the universe, and does He still rule it today?
Is salvation a gift from God that cannot be earned?
Is Satan real?
Does a Christian have a responsibility to share his or her faith in Christ with other people?
Is the Bible accurate in all of its teachings?
Did you answer yes to these? Only 9 percent of "born- again" believers did. But what's more important than your yes to these questions is whether your life shows it. Granted, we are all sinners and fall short, but most of our gut reactions will reflect what we deep-down, honest-to-goodness believe to be real and true.
Are We Ever Justified In Disobeying Those In Authority?

"Then the king of Egypt spoke to the Hebrew midwives, of whom the name of one was Shiphrah and the name of the other Puah; and he said, “When you do the duties of a midwife for the Hebrew women, and see them on the birthstools, if it is a son, then you shall kill him; but if it is a daughter, then she shall live.” But the midwives feared God, and did not do as the king of Egypt commanded them, but saved the male children alive" (Exodus 1:15-17).
I have for several weeks now tried to share with us the seriousness of coming under submission to those who are over us in the Lord. Again I remind us, this is a very important matter. Are we ever justified in over-riding those in authority? As we move forward with an explantation, yes, there are those times.
We are to always without fail be in total submission to God. Obedience to the ones that God has placed in authority is always the right thing to do. Being obedient to God is absolute. So if a parent, Sunday school teacher, church leader, Pastor, or politician is in direct disobedience to God and His word, we are not to obey them. Our total allegiance is always to God. Note! Some biblical examples in (Heb. 11:23) Moses’ parents did not obey Pharaoh’s law when they hid him. The Egyptian midwives disobeyed authority and God was with them (Ex. 1:20). One of the great Old Testament stories, the three Hebrew boys didn’t bow down to Nebuchadnezzar and look what God done (Daniel Chap. 3). Daniel kept praying when he was told to stop (Daniel Chap. 6). The wise men in (Matt. 2:8) defied King Herod. Peter and the other apostles were told very sternly quit preaching.
What did they do, they said we got to obey God not you, Wow! (Acts. 5:29). God help each of us to follow God’s blueprint.
