2 Chronicles 7:14 If my people, which are called by my name, shall humblethemselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.
A biblical worldview is based on the infallible Word of God. When you believe the Bible is entirely true, then you allow it to be the foundation of everything you say and do. That means, for instance, you take seriously the mandate in Romans 13 to honor the governing authorities by researching the candidates and issues, making voting a priority.
Do you have a biblical worldview? Answer the following questions, based on claims found in the Bible and which George Barna used in his survey:
Do absolute moral truths exist?
Is absolute truth defined by the Bible?
Did Jesus Christ live a sinless life?
Is God the all-powerful and all-knowing Creator of the universe, and does He still rule it today?
Is salvation a gift from God that cannot be earned?
Is Satan real?
Does a Christian have a responsibility to share his or her faith in Christ with other people?
Is the Bible accurate in all of its teachings?
Did you answer yes to these? Only 9 percent of "born- again" believers did. But what's more important than your yes to these questions is whether your life shows it. Granted, we are all sinners and fall short, but most of our gut reactions will reflect what we deep-down, honest-to-goodness believe to be real and true.
Then Jonathan said to the young man who bore his armor, “Come, let us go over to the garrison of these uncircumcised; it may be that the LORD will work for us. For nothing restrains the LORD from saving by many or by few.” 1 Samuel 14:. You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world. 1 John 4:4.
What a statement, "The Lord Working For Us," He is, are we allowing Him to be the God of our life, He wants to be?God's word declares to us in (2 Cor. 10:4) Praise God that we can deal with the strong holds of the enemy and even pull them down.
It has been written that George Patton once said, there are three elements to military victory: Attack, Attack, Attack, what a statement, which is so true. Jesus has said to the church, attack the enemy. Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. (Romans 8:37). How do we attack the enemy of our soul who is Satan, there are without question many ways, but the main two I believe is through Prayer & Fasting, through the ministry of the word, through unity of the brethren and many other ways.
I encourage each of us to get into the word, read it, study it, apply it to our hearts and the situations we face, as we do this and get His word in our spirit we can overcome anything, For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. And there is no creature hidden from His sight, but all things are naked and open to the eyes of Him to whom we must give account. Seeing then that we have a great High Priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession. For we do not have a High Priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but was in all points tempted as we are, yet without sin. Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need. (Hebrews 4:12-16).
Jesus is our example, we know according to His word that He has all authority (Matthew 28:18), He has given to us His authority to use to counteract anything the enemy throws at us, but we must remember its useless unless we use it. May we be reminded often, God's children have the victory and if your not a Christian you can be. Now thanks be to God who always leads us in triumph in Christ, and through us diffuses the fragrance of His knowledge in every place. (2 Corinthians 2:14). Let's stand tall for our Lord.
