Psalms 1:1-3. Blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked or stand in the way of sinners or sit in the seat of mockers. But his delight is in the law of the LORD, and on his law he meditates day and night. He is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither. Whatever he does prospers.

All my life, I wanted to be a head football coach of an NFL team more than anything else. At times, I even wanted it more than God or my family. I bought right into the world’s game plan. waynedurden.jpgThe thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly. (John 10:10)  You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world. (1 John 4:4) The rest of mankind that were not killed by these plagues still did not repent of the work of their hands; they did not stop worshiping demons, and idols of gold, silver, bronze, stone and wood-idols that cannot see or hear or walk. (Revelation 9:20)

If you wll remember last week's message we discovered that demons are real. This week we wll endeavor to paint a picture of just how real they are and some of their activity.  May I say one more time demons are very real and have the ability to speak.

A multitude of demon spirits cried out through a man's mouth, when this happened Jesus commanded the demon spirits to come out of him and praise God they did, there's power in the name of Jesus, (Hebrews 13:8).  Demons also possess self-awareness, for example demons saw Jesus coming and cried out, "What have I to do with you, Jesus, the Son of the most High God?  The demon spoke, don't torment me!"  (Luke 8:28).  You will note the demons knew who Jesus was and they know who they were.  We further notice in Luke 8:31 that demons have self-will, they ask after leaving the man to go into the hogs, why, they needed to have a body to exercise their will in.

The bible records in James 2:19, "You believe that there is one God, you do well, the devils believe and tremble", so we further see from this that demons also have emotions.  I would close with this thought if spiritually your playing games with God just going through the motions, using God like you would your spare tire, you are a prime candidate for the demon powers of hell to attack your lives, note!  (John 10:10).  Let each of us as God's children put on the whole armor of God, it's available.

Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might.   Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.   For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.   Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.   Stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness,  and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace;  above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one.   And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God;   praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints—  and for me, that utterance may be given to me, that I may open my mouth boldly to make known the mystery of the gospel,   for which I am an ambassador in chains; that in it I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak. (Ephesians 6:10-20).
