Children's Letters To God

Dear GOD,
Did you mean for the giraffe to look like that or was it an  accident?   - Norma

Dear GOD,
Instead of letting people die and having to make new ones,  why don't You just keep the ones You have now?  - Jane

Dear GOD,
Who draws the lines around the countries?    -  Nan

Dear GOD,
I went to this wedding and they kissed right in church.  Is that  okay?   -  Neil

Dear GOD,
What does it mean You are a Jealous God?  I thought You had  everything.   -  Jane

Dear GOD,
Did you really mean "do unto others as they do unto you"?  Because if you did, then I'm going to fix my brother!
 - Darla

Dear GOD,
Please send me a pony.  I never asked for anything before, You can look it up.   - Bruce

Dear GOD,
I bet it is very hard for You to love all of everybody in the whole world. There are only 4 people in our family and I can never do it.   - Nan

To See or Not To See

My face in the mirror
isn’t wrinkled or drawn;
My house isn’t dirty
the cobwebs are gone.
My garden looks lovely
and so does my lawn;
I think I might never
put my glasses back on!

Side Pain

At Sunday school they were teaching how God created everything, including human beings. Little Johnny seemed especially intent when they told him how Eve was created out of one of Adam's ribs.

Later in the week his mother noticed him lying down as though he were ill, and said, Johnny what is the matter? Little Johnny responded, "I have a pain in my side. I think I'm going to have a wife."

waynedurden.jpgThe children of Israel brought a freewill offering to the LORD, all the men and women whose hearts were willing to bring material for all kinds of work which the LORD, by the hand of Moses, had commanded to be done (Exodus 35:29.  The entrance of Your words gives light; It gives understanding to the simple (Psalm 119:30).

Oh! the amazing word of God.  Let's continue our thought a little further concerning the Laver.  You will discover in (Ex. 38:8) the women of Israel freely gave up their brass mirrors to make the bronze laver for the tabernacle. What an amazing thing this was, these women were giving up their last chance to see themselves in the mirror for the next forty years.  In (Exodus 35:5) Moses ask whoever was willing, let him bring an offering to the Lord, the people in an overwhelming way brought so much to the altar that they were ask to stop.  Moses sent a message throughout the camp that man nor women were to do any more work for the offering of the sanctuary, I say wow! isn't this beautiful, note! (Exodus 36:6, 7).

The estimated cost for the tabernacle was 30 million dollars.  Oh! that we as God's children will dedicate ourselves to the cause of Jesus Christ and together do what we can for God's Kingdom work, please understand this, God wants to use you, yes you.

Together For His Cause, Pastor Durden
